India last hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2010, and now Ahmedabad is gearing up for the 2030 edition. With only 17 sports planned and a target to cut costs by about 60 percent, it could be a more realistic bid for future events. Honestly, if they pull this off, more cities might consider hosting without breaking the bank.
